RexinThese Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rexin mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"), provided by Rexin ("Rexin", "we", "us", or "our"). Rexin is a crochet inspiration and management application for adult fiber-craft enthusiasts.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. For questions about these Terms, contact us at service@rexin.live.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App. By using Rexin, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The App is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18.
2. Description of the Service
Rexin provides a craft-focused toolset and community, including:
- A yarn usage estimator that calculates estimated skeins and weight based on yarn type, stitch pattern, and fabric dimensions.
- Project and inventory management for crochet projects, yarn, and hooks.
- An inspiration feed where users can browse, publish, like, and comment on posts.
- A curated pattern library and crochet tips.
- A community chat feature for exchanging craft techniques and experience.
- In-App virtual currency ("Coins") for unlocking certain in-App virtual functions.
The App is designed to operate primarily on your device. We may modify, add, or discontinue features at any time.
3. Your Account
When you sign in, a user profile is created for you. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the security of the device on which the App is installed. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile details current. You may delete your account at any time using the Delete Account function, which clears your local App data.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Upload, publish, or share content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable.
- Post content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors. This is strictly prohibited (see Section 7).
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person.
- Harass, abuse, impersonate, or harm other users.
- Use the App for dating, matching, intimate social, or anonymous social purposes, which the App does not support.
- Distribute spam, malware, or engage in fraudulent activity.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
- Circumvent moderation, reporting, blocking, or virtual-currency mechanisms.
We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms.
5. User-Generated Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create, such as posts, photos, comments, project records, and messages ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to share it.
5.2 License to Rexin
By publishing User Content, you grant Rexin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely to operate and provide the App. This license ends when you delete the content, except where it has already been shared or where retention is legally required.
5.3 Content Standards and Moderation
All User Content must comply with these Terms. We provide in-App tools including Report (for posts, comments, and users) and Block (which adds a user to your local blacklist). We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, remove, or restrict content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. To limit unwanted contact, when starting a new chat you may send only one message until the recipient replies.
6. Virtual Currency and Purchases
6.1 Coins
The App offers virtual Coins that can be purchased and used to unlock in-App virtual functions, such as creating projects beyond the free allowance (the first three projects are free; each additional project costs 50 Coins). Coins have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be redeemed for physical goods.
6.2 Payments
In-App purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. All purchases are subject to the applicable platform's terms and payment policies. Prices are shown in the App before purchase.
6.3 Refunds
Except where required by law or the applicable platform's policies, purchases of Coins are final and non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by the platform provider in accordance with its policies.
6.4 No Real-World Transactions
The App does not facilitate the sale, purchase, or exchange of physical goods between users. Coins are solely for in-App virtual functions.
7. Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
Rexin has a zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and account termination.
We report apparent CSAE and CSAM to the appropriate authorities and organizations, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as required or permitted by law, and cooperate with law enforcement. To report such content, use the in-App Report function or contact service@rexin.live immediately.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, software, text, graphics, logos, and curated patterns and tips, is owned by Rexin or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you to use the App, no rights are transferred to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our prior written permission.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Yarn estimations and calculations are approximations provided for convenience and may not reflect exact material requirements; you are responsible for verifying quantities for your own projects. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rexin and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the App. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rexin and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the App or its users. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" above and provide notice within the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App will be resolved through the appropriate courts or dispute-resolution mechanisms available in your jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the Privacy Policy.
