Welcome to Rexin ("Rexin", "we", "us", or "our"). Rexin is a crochet inspiration and management application that helps hobbyists estimate yarn usage, manage projects and material stashes, discover patterns, and share creative work within a craft-focused community. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use the Rexin mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App").

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described here, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility and Age Restriction

Rexin is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older. The App is designed for adult crochet and fiber-craft enthusiasts. We do not knowingly permit anyone under the age of 18 to create an account or use the App.

If you are under 18, you are not authorized to use Rexin. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete that information promptly. See Section 8 (Children's Privacy) for further details.

2. Information We Collect

We aim to collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the App. The categories of information we may collect are described below.

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in to the App (for example, through Sign in with Apple), we may create a local user profile associated with you. This may include:

• A display name or nickname you choose.
• A profile avatar or image.
• A short biography ("Bio") that you optionally provide.
• Basic account preferences and settings.

Rexin is designed to operate primarily on your device. Much of your profile data is stored locally rather than transmitted to a central server, except where necessary to deliver a specific feature.

2.2 User-Generated Content (UGC)

The App allows you to create and share content. This may include:

• Inspiration posts, including titles, descriptions, photos, and tags.
• Comments and likes on posts.
• Crochet project records, including project names, categories, hook and yarn selections, progress, start dates, and notes.
• Yarn and hook inventory entries in your material stash.
• Messages you send within the in-App chat feature.
• Yarn estimation history you generate using the calculator.

Content you choose to publish publicly (such as inspiration posts and comments) may be visible to other users of the App. See Section 9 (User-Generated Content) for details on how UGC is managed.

2.3 Device and Technical Information

To ensure the App functions correctly and to help diagnose issues, we may collect limited technical information, such as:

• Device type, model, and operating system version.
• App version and language or locale settings.
• General diagnostic and performance data (for example, crash logs).
• A non-persistent device or installation identifier used for basic functionality.

2.4 Photos and Media

Certain features, such as publishing inspiration posts, setting a project cover, or using the Photo Estimate mode of the yarn calculator, may require access to images. If you grant permission, we access only the images you specifically select. We do not scan or access your entire photo library. You may decline or revoke media access at any time through your device settings.

2.5 Location Data

Rexin does not require precise geolocation to function. We do not collect GPS-level location data. We may infer only coarse, non-precise regional information (for example, from language or locale settings) to display appropriate content. If any optional feature in the future requests location access, it will do so only with your explicit permission.

2.6 Purchase and Virtual Currency Information

The App offers in-App virtual currency ("Coins") that can be used to unlock in-App virtual functions. When you make a purchase, the transaction is processed by the applicable platform provider (Apple App Store or Google Play). We do not collect or store your full payment card details. We may retain records of your virtual Coin balance and consumption within the App, which are stored locally on your device.

2.7 Information We Do Not Collect

Rexin is a tool-oriented craft community. We do not collect biometric identifiers, precise location tracking data, dating or relationship profiles, or sensitive personal characteristics. The App contains no dating, matching, anonymous social, or intimate-social functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Providing core services. To operate the yarn estimator, project and inventory management, inspiration feed, pattern library, and chat features.
• Maintaining your account. To create, personalize, and manage your local profile and settings.
• Enabling community features. To display your published posts, comments, and likes to other users, and to power basic follow relationships.
• Personalization. To recommend relevant inspiration posts and patterns based on your in-App activity and selected categories. We do not use sensitive personal data for personalization.
• Improving the App. To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical problems, optimize features, and enhance overall performance and stability.
• Safety and moderation. To review reported content, enforce our community rules, manage block and blacklist functions, and protect users from abuse or harmful content.
• Processing transactions. To manage your virtual Coin balance, apply free project allowances, and record in-App purchases.
• Legal compliance. To comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.

We will not use your information for purposes materially different from those described here without providing notice and, where required, obtaining your consent.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law (such as the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation) requires a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on the following:

• Performance of a contract. To provide the App and its features that you request.
• Consent. Where you have given us permission, such as for accessing selected photos. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests. To improve, secure, and maintain the App, and to keep our community safe, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Legal obligation. To comply with laws applicable to us.

5. How We Share and Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the limited circumstances described below.

5.1 With Other Users

Content you publish publicly, such as inspiration posts, comments, likes, your display name, and your avatar, is visible to other users of the App by design. Please consider carefully what you choose to share publicly.

5.2 With Service Providers

We may engage trusted third-party service providers to perform functions on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, crash reporting, or analytics. These providers may access information only as needed to perform their services and are obligated to protect it.

5.3 With Platform Providers

In-App purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Their handling of payment information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

5.4 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to:

• Comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Enforce our Terms of Service or investigate potential violations.
• Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
• Protect the rights, property, or safety of Rexin, our users, or the public.

5.5 Business Transfers

If Rexin is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and of any choices you may have.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Rexin is designed to operate primarily on your device, and much of your data (including your profile, projects, inventory, estimation history, chat messages, and blacklist) is stored locally in the App's local storage.

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Because most data is stored locally, you can remove much of it directly by deleting the relevant content, clearing your stash, or using the Delete Account function, which clears local App data on your device.

Uninstalling the App will remove locally stored data associated with the App from your device.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction. Update or correct inaccurate information, for example by editing your profile, projects, or inventory directly in the App.
• Deletion. Delete your content, clear your inventory, or use the Delete Account function to remove your local data. You may also contact us to request deletion of information we may hold.
• Withdraw consent. Revoke permissions such as photo access at any time through your device settings, or discontinue use of a feature.
• Object or restrict. Object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable law provides such rights.
• Data portability. Request that certain information be provided in a portable format, where applicable.
• Non-discrimination. Exercise your privacy rights without receiving discriminatory treatment.

To exercise any of these rights, use the in-App controls where available, or contact us at service@rexin.live. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

8. Children's Privacy

Rexin is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at service@rexin.live so we can take appropriate action to delete it.

8.1 Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Prohibition

We are committed to preventing, detecting, and addressing CSAE, including through the following measures:

• Prohibiting CSAE and CSAM in our Terms of Service and community standards.
• Providing accessible tools to report inappropriate content, including in-App Report and Block functions on posts, comments, and users.
• Reviewing reports of suspected CSAE and removing violating content and accounts.
• Reporting apparent CSAE and CSAM to the relevant authorities and organizations, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as required or permitted by law, and cooperating with law enforcement.

To report suspected CSAE or any content that endangers a minor, please use the in-App Report function or contact us immediately at service@rexin.live.

9. User-Generated Content (UGC)

Rexin allows you to create, upload, and share content such as inspiration posts, photos, comments, project records, and chat messages.

9.1 Ownership and License

You retain ownership of the content you create. By publishing content in the App, you grant Rexin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App. This license ends when you delete your content, except where the content has already been shared with others or where retention is required by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to any content you upload and that it does not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

9.2 Prohibited Content

You must not upload or share content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, infringing, deceptive, or that violates the rights or safety of others. Content that involves the exploitation or endangerment of minors is strictly forbidden (see Section 8).

9.3 Moderation, Reporting, and Enforcement

To keep the community safe, the App provides moderation tools:

• Report. Every post, comment, and user can be reported through an in-App Report function.
• Block and Blacklist. You can block other users; blocked users are added to your local blacklist and can no longer see your posts or exchange messages with you. You can manage your blacklist in Settings.
• Anti-harassment messaging. In chat, when you start a new conversation, you may send only one message until the other person replies, to help prevent unwanted contact.

We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Policy or our Terms of Service. Reported content is reviewed and appropriate action is taken in a reasonable timeframe.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Because Rexin stores much of your data locally on your device, the security of that data also depends on the security of your device, including your device passcode and operating-system protections.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a secure device lock and to keep your device and the App updated.

11. International Users and Data Transfers

Rexin is available to users worldwide. If you access the App from outside the region where any service provider processes data, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we take appropriate safeguards to protect such transfers.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may reference or integrate with third-party services, such as platform app stores. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Policy and provide notice within the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after an update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
